Helen Cloninger Hoffman
( June 30, 1926 - October 21, 2015 )
Loving wife and devoted homemaker, Helen Cloninger Hoffman, passed away peacefully at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, NC, on October 21, 2015, at the age of 89.
Helen is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Fred Lee Hoffman, of Lincolnton, NC; sisters-in-law, Helen Perkins, Helen R. Hoffman of Lincolnton, NC, and Mary Jo Cloninger of Dallas, NC; nephews, Thomas R. Cloninger of Gastonia, NC, and Alan G. Cloninger of Dallas, NC; nieces, Jade C. Allender of Lincolnton, NC, and Paula C. Houser of Gastonia, NC; as well as numerous great-nephews and nieces, and a great-great-nephew and niece.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Polie Q. Cloninger, Sr. and Eunice Reed Cloninger of Gastonia, as well as brothers Polie Q. Cloninger, Jr. and Bobby Ray Cloninger of Dallas, NC.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Warlick Funeral Home from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia, NC.
Fred and the family would like to thank the loving, caring, and supportive staff at the Robin Johnson Hospice House, and special friends Jake and Jeannie Rhyne.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Robin Johnson Hospice House, c/o Gaston Hospice, Christian Ministry of Lincoln County, or the charity of one’s choice.
