Joyce Lynn Thomas Meadows
( March 24, 1946 - November 5, 2015 )
Joyce Lynn Thomas Meadows, age 69, of Iron Station, went home to be with God on Thursday, November 5, 2015, and became his angel.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton. Her funeral service will be in the care of Long & Fisher Funeral Home in Sissonville, WV.
Joyce was preceded in death by her loving father, Clifford E. Thomas, and loving mother, Ruth Jarrett Thomas; and loving brother Robert E. Thomas. Joyce last worked at George C. Scott as an insurance billing clerk and attended Carolina University of Theology and received the degree of Associate of Biblical Study on July 11, 1998. She became disabled and has spent the last 20 years as a housewife.
She is survived by her loving husband and the joy of his life for almost 35 years, Robert B. Meadows of the home; two sons, Joseph Allen Holmes of Ringgold, GA, Jeffery Holmes of Lincolnton; one daughter, Jeanette Holmes of Clinton, NC; two sisters, Sue Armstead of Elk View, WV, and Mary Thomas of Sissonville, WV; five grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Patricia Ann Vaughn of Concord, NC, and Robin Lynn Underwood of Charleston, WV; two step-sons, Robert Meadows and John Richard Meadows, both of Charleston, WV; and four step-grandsons; four step-granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joyce’s memory to Catawba Regional Hospice - Sherrills Ford Unit, 7473 Sherrills Ford Road, Sherrills Ford, NC 28673, or to the church of your choice.
