Obituaries

Mrs. Brenda Neal Payseur, age 71 of 1033 Long Shoals Road in Lincolnton died on Monday, December 7, 2015.

Her funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday , December 9 , 2015 at Bethel Lutheran Church with Rev. Steven King officiating.  Burial will follow in Landers Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at Bethel Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Payseur was born July 12, 1944 in Lincoln County to the late George Cephus and Mabel Kiser Neal.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Payseur and also a brother, Curtis Neal and a sister, Libby Towery.  Mrs. Payseur was retired from textiles.

Survivors include one daughter, Drenda Diane Smith; two stepsons, Kenneth Eugene Payseur of Lincolnton and Sidney Vaughn Payseur of Dallas, NC; one brother, Mike Neal and wife Sheila of Bessemer City; one sister, Gail Cabiness and husband Harold of Lincolnton; two step grandchildren, Daniel Payseur and Cassie Payseur; one sister-in-law, Judy Neal of Lincolnton; one brother-in-law, Boyd Towery, Jr. of Lincolnton; a number of nieces and nephews.
