Minnie Ella Carpenter Houk

Minnie Ella Carpenter Houk, age 102, of 150 Kingsway Circle, Charlotte, NC died Wednesday, December 09, 2015.
Her funeral will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2015 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Victory Grove Tabernacle Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. Friday prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Houk was born on July 13, 1913 and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth Rhyne Carpenter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Houk. Mrs. Houk retired as a seamstress with Lawing Dry Cleaners.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice Naples and husband, Tony of Charlotte; two sisters, Audrey Smith of Salisbury and Ruth Gillenwater of Charlotte; one brother, John Carpenter of Lincolnton; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
