Stella Joyce Jacobs Elliott, age 76, of the Brian Center in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, December 23, 2015.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2015, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Alexis, N.C. with Rev. Joel Collette and Rev. Allison Hager Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Elliott was born November 4, 1939, in Fulton County, Georgia, to the late Loyd Jacobs and Marguerite Collins Mitchell. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Elliott. She worked for Lockheed-Martin, Marietta,Ga.

She is survived by a sister, Jeanette Davis and husband James of Catawba; three stepchildren, Norman Elliott, Debbie Ouzts, and Lisa Gross, all of South Carolina; a niece, Janice Hager and husband Jeff of Alexis; and a nephew, Jim Davis and wife Sharon of Brooklet, GA.
