Hazel Self Jones

Hazel Self Jones, age 89, of 2903 Highway 150 West in Crouse, died on Tuesday, January 12, 2016.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016, at Crouse United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Jones was born March 24, 1926, in Lincoln County, to the late Otis Dixon and Selma Dellinger Self Ledford. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Clinton Jones. She was a cafeteria worker for Lincoln County Schools.
She is survived by a son, Sandy Jones of Crouse; two daughters, Dianne Walden, and husband Dennis, of Lincolnton, and Debbie Reinhardt, and husband Cecil, of Denver; two stepdaughters, Debbie Tague, and husband Tom, of Sherrills Ford, and Joyce Houser, and husband Richard, of Lincolnton; a stepson, Jack C. Jones, Jr., and wife Cheryl, of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Scott Allen and wife Teela of Cherryville, Katie Parker and husband Luke of Denver, and Dillon Houser of Lincolnton; three great-grandchildren, Dalton Allen, Mathew Allen, and Emersyn Parker; and a number of other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Crouse United Methodist Church, PO Box 43, Crouse, NC 28033, or to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
