After 33 years of service, she later retired from the Department of Energy. After her retirement, she volunteered for fifteen plus years at Lincoln Nursing Home, Christian Ministries and Asbury United Methodist Church, where she was a member.
Beckie was a fun, kind, compassionate and generous person with a bright, winning smile, an engaging sense of humor and a quiet, gentle spirit that drew people to her. She belonged to a fun loving group of ladies called the Calendar Girls. She always enjoyed the fun, food and fellowship that they shared together, losing her leaves a big void in our hearts forever. There is comfort now in knowing she is in her heavenly home in the presence of Jesus, and now has been eternally healed.
She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Paul E Finger Sr. ; son, Paul (Bo) Finger Jr. and wife Melinda Finger, daughter Barbara Cater and husband George Cater; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; dear loving friend, Mary Ann Bynum and husband Robert Bynum, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
