Earl Gerald Elmore

Earl Gerald Elmore, 94, of Lincolnton, died Wednesday.
His funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:45 a.m. prior to service.
Mr. Elmore was born April 7, 1921, in Lincoln County, to the late Clee and June Beam Elmore. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Letha Huffman Elmore, and siblings Joyce E. Hudson, Hugh Elmore, Alda Elmore, Vida Elmore, Andrew Elmore, Morris Elmore, Forrest Elmore, and Ruth Elmore. Out of the service, he owned and operated several restaurants, including Creamland on the Maiden highway, and then later built and opened It’s Grill in 1956 through 1970.
He is survived by a niece and nephews, Glenda Deal of Valdese, Richard Elmore of The Villages, FL, and Sandy Hudson of Maiden.
