Rathmul Helms

Rathmul Helms, age 85, of 640 Victor Street, Lincolnton died Saturday, February 13, 2016.
His funeral will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2016 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Nathan Grooms officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Helms was born on July 20, 1930 and was the son of the late Roy and Pansy Pennell Helms. He was a graduate of Lenior Rhyne College and was retired as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal service after 34 years of service. Mr. Helms also served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lynn Helms of the home; two sons, Mike Helms and wife, Libby of Lincolnton and Jeff Helms and wife, Sandra of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Heather Helms, Dustin Helms and wife, Sarah, Natalie Helms and Abby Helms; one great-grand daughter, NoraLeigh Helms.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
