David Alan Breakfield

David Alan Breakfield, age 64, of 7920 Mountain Shores Drive in Sherrills Ford, died on Friday, February 19, 2016.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Denver Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Griggs officiating. The body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2016, at Warlick Funeral Home.
David was born April 21, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio, to Mary Hillman Breakfield and the late David Elwood Breakfield. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and then later worked as a salesman of racing tools. David started racing at age 12 and enjoyed both dirt track and asphalt racing.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Breakfield; two daughters, Sheli Scarborough, and husband Jason, of Florida, and Nicole DePietro, and husband Alex, of Mt. Holly; and three grandchildren, Cooper and Cambell Scarborough, and Alexa DePietro.
