Freddie Eugene Barrett
( September 23, 1948 - February 26, 2016 )
Mr. Freddie Eugene Barrett, age 67, of Lincolnton, died Friday, February 26, 2016.
His funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, February 29, 2016 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Butch Ross presiding. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:15 p.m. on Monday prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Barrett was born September 23, 1948, in Cleveland County, to the late Purvis and Vernie Sipe Barrett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Faye Barrett and Sue Carroll and two brothers, Billy Barrett and Lawrence Barrett. Mr. Barrett was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a machinist with Bosch Tools and after retirement he spent his time as a security specialist with SIS. Freddie enjoyed sports and touched numerous lives through coaching, but inspired many with his love for fast pitch softball. He was an avid fan of the Tar Heels and the Panthers.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joy Williams Barrett of the home; two daughters, Kelsey Barrett Williams and husband Travis and Kendall Barrett and fiancé Brandon Boulding all of Lincolnton; three brothers, Johnny Barrett, Ronnie Barrett and Jerry Barrett all of Cleveland County. He also leaves behind his special furbabies, Chipper, Sophie, Bella and Cooper.
