Obituaries

Mrs. Libby Richard Caldwell, age 72 of Wheatfield Court in Lincolnton lost her fight with cancer on Sunday, February 28, 2016.

Her funeral service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bud Painter officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 until 1:45 prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.

Libby was a native of Lincoln County born on August 10, 1943, daughter of the late M.G. (Bus) and Patsy Beal Richard.  She was preceded in death by two sisters Peggy Ann Richard and Dean Christine Ailey. Mrs. Caldwell was a real estate agent in Lincoln County for many years before retiring.

Survivors include: husband of 43 years, Steve Caldwell of the home; one son Tom Caldwell and wife Karen of Lincolnton; one grandson, Chase Caldwell of Lincolnton and one granddaughter, Kayda Caldwell Carmichael and husband Garrett of Lincolnton; one brother Bill Richard and wife Hazel of Lincolnton; one step-granddaughter,
Brandy Spencer Wyatt and husband Dwayne; two step-great-granddaughters, Bailey and Anderson Wyatt of Vale.
