Elsie Carpenter Scronce

Elsie Carpenter Scronce, age 80, of 436 Long Meadow Lane in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Ms. Scronce was born August 23, 1935, in Lincoln County, to the late Robert Pink and Mary Lee Earl Carpenter. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Johnny Wayne Swink, and a daughter, Joanne Swink. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by her children, Kim Carpenter, and husband Larry, of Lincolnton; Donnie Carpenter, and wife Gina, of South Carolina; Donna Womeldorf of Lincolnton; Sam Pless of Catawba County; James Pless of Texas; Barbara Caskey, and husband Bob, of Maiden; and Rovanda Pless; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
