Jerry Raymond Slaton

Jerry Raymond Slaton, age 77, of 2773 Landers Church Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, April 18, 2016.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2016, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Millwood, and singer Mark Porch, a nephew, officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Slaton was born May 4, 1938, in Gaston County, to the late John and Winnie Bradley Slaton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Arlen, and a sister, Shirley. He served in the United States Army and was retired from Carolina Freight Carriers. After his retirement, he owned and operated J&P Used Auto Parts.
He is survived by his wife, Patti G. Slaton of the home; three daughters, Cindy S. Schoenfeld, and husband Michael, of Belmont, Elaina S. Keener, and husband Ralph, of Gastonia, and Susan Slaton, and Michael Minton, of Medway, MA; one sister, Linda S. Porch, and husband Bob, of Vale; three grandchildren, Mark Keener, Kevin Keener, and Adrienne Keener; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
