Lessie Viola Jenkins Dellinger

Lessie Viola Jenkins Dellinger, age 94, of Carillon Assisted Living, and formerly of Forest Dellinger Road in Bessemer City, died on Monday, April 25, 2016.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2016, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leonard Bumgarner officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherryville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dellinger was born December 14, 1921, in Gaston County, to the late Lee Andrews Jenkins and Essie Vivian Mauney Jenkins. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Forrest E. Dellinger, Sr., daughter, Kay Dellinger Clarke, brothers, Henry Lee Jenkins and Hunter Dorcus Jenkins, and a sister, Ruth Dellinger. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by a son, Forrest E. Dellinger, Jr. of the home; a daughter, Judy Elaine Tate of Cherryville; a brother, Raymond Jenkins of Clyde, NC; two sisters, Mozelle Eaker of Gastonia and Ruby Mae Tedder of Bessemer City; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
