Mrs. Sue Hovis Heafner age 82 of Lincolnton passed away on Friday May 6, 2016.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Tuesday May 10, 2016 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Dallas, N.C. with Pastor Jonathan Schnibben officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 1:45pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Heafner was a native of Lincoln County, born on September 6, 1933. She was the daughter of the late William and Myrtle Plonk Hovis. Mrs. Heafner was also preceded in death by her husband Bobby Von Heafner. Mrs. Heafner worked for Burlington Mills before retiring.

Survivors include; three sons, Anthony Vaughn Heafner and wife, Robin, of Advance N.C., Ronald David Heafner and wife, Emily of Iron Station and Michael Scott Heafner and wife, Tina of Lincolnton; one daughter LeAnne Heafner Withers and husband, Thomas of Dallas; one sister Gloria H. Mauney of Lincolnton; seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
