Obituaries

Harry Ramsey Rhodes, age 80, of Hilltop Road, Lincolnton transferred from Earth to Heaven to be with his heavenly Father on Saturday, May 14, 2016.

His funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Scott Shoffner  officiating. His body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Rhodes was born on February 16, 1936 and was the son of the late Henry and Wilma “Pud” Ramsey Rhodes.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy and owner of Rhodes Electric.

Survivors are his wife, Delores H. Rhodes of the home; three daughters, Teri Hubbard of Bare Grass, NC, Debbie Waterson and husband, Shawn of Lincolnton and Denise Costner and husband, Greg of Lincolnton; one brother, Ted Rhodes of Lincolnton; one sister, Jodena Cronland of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Jared Rhodes, Brandi Houser, Jesse Waterson, Carly Dellinger, Halee Good and Jake Hubbard and five great grandchildren.
