Gary Edward Merriner

Gary Edward Merriner, age 72, of 3828 Wade Ridge Trail in Iron Station, died on Sunday, May 15, 2016.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2016, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dickie Spargo officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Merriner was born November 26, 1943, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Willard Nathan and Mary Walters Merriner. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dolly Watkins and Alese Flagherty. He worked in maintenance for Gaston County Dye.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores Lucarelli Merriner of the home; a daughter, Kelly Estes of Denver; two grandchildren, Stephanie Estes of Charlotte and Seth Estes of Washington, DC; three brothers, Wayne Merriner, and wife Laurie, of Texas, John Merriner, and wife Isabel, of California, and Bill Merriner of Akron, OH; and a sister, Elaine Turnmire of Akron, OH.
