Scotty Lamar Green

Mr. Scotty Lamar Green, age 53, of 138 Ethel Drive in Stanley, died on Tuesday, May 17, 2016.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Covenant Bible Church with Rev. Mike Devine officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Green was born June 11, 1962, in Catawba County, to Benny Green and Roberta Perkins Green. He was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Sides. Scotty worked with Buckeye Fire Protection in Kings Mountain.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Stephanie Mitchum Green of the home; a sister, Teresa Lowman, and husband Terry, of Lincolnton; his father, Benny Green, and wife Barbara, of Murrells Inlet, SC; his mother, Roberta Green of Lincolnton; five nieces, Macie Lowman Gates, Gracie Lowman, Elizabeth Wilson, Alea Lowman, and Amanda Lowman Huffman; and two nephews, Christopher Nichols and Jason Sides.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Avenue, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
