Paul Gene Carpenter
( August 1, 1930 - May 25, 2016 )
Mr. Paul Gene Carpenter age 85 of 1613 Arden Drive Lincolnton died on Wednesday May 25, 2015.
Graveside services will be held 3:00pm Friday May 27, 2016 at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton, with Rev. Larry Turner officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:30pm prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Carpenter was born in Catawba County son of the late Vincent and Rosa Hendrick Carpenter. He was also preceded in death by one son Scott Douglas Carpenter and daughter Martha Bush, and grandchildren William Charles Goodman and Tina Rea Goodman Fisher. He worked in construction as a carpenter before retiring. Mr. Carpenter was a Sargent in the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include: four daughters Barbara “Susie” Kiser and husband Alan of Lincolnton, Cindy Kieft and husband Ronnie of Lumberton, N.J. Rose Carter and husband Kelly of Gastonia and Linda Tuno of Lincolnton; one son Paul E. Carpenter of Denver, grandchildren he raised Chelsea Carpenter and Scott Carpenter Jr. along with seventeen other grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
In lieu of flower memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County 900 Dontia Drive Lincolnton, N.C. 28092.
