Antha Jack Hooper

Mr. Antha Jack Hooper, age 78, of 313 Jennings Street, Lincolnton died Monday, May 30, 2016.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Clearview Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Miles officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at Clearview Baptist Church.
Mr. Hooper was born March 7, 1938 and was the son of the late Woodrow and Fay Hogsed Hooper. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Mr. Hooper was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Firestone Textiles.
Survivors are his wife, Peggy Hooper of the home; five daughters, Rhonda Hooper of California, Dianna Hooper of Gastonia, Beverly Whittington of Lincolnton, Tammy Williams and husband, Duane of Lincolnton and Ingrid Hooper and fiancé, Glenn Bashaw of Gastonia; one son, Jerry Elders of Franklin, NC; one sister, Louise Teague of Gastonia; six grandchildren and thirteen great- grandchildren.
