Betty Blair Leatherman Richard

Mrs. Betty Blair Leatherman Richard, age 83, of 6126 Leatherman Road, Vale died Tuesday, May 31, 2016.
Her funeral will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Tommy Lineberger officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Richard was born on March 13, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Hugh and Zelma Westbrook Leatherman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Richard and a brother, Randy Leatherman. She was retired from the textile industry.
She is survived by two sons, Todd Richard and wife, Gaye of Vale and Jamie Richard of Tokyo Japan; two daughters, Becky Crouse and husband, Terry of Vale and Amy Hix and husband, Dennis of Vale; one sister, Peggy Ledford of Vale; six grandchildren, Jason Crouse and wife April, Trevor Madel and wife Renee, Jason Compton and wife Hope, David Richard and wife Lyndsey, Kristen Crouse and Callie Hix; four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Growing in Faith Fund, PO Box 7, Vale, NC 28168 or to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
