Brenda Fay Gantt Birt, age 68, of Gastonia died Saturday, June 18, 2016.

Her funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matt Seagle officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton.  The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2016 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Birt was born on August 6, 1947 and was the daughter of the late John Walter and Ruth Hoffman Gantt.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bob Birt, her brother, Moose Gantt and her sister, Becky Stamey.

She is survived by one son, Chris Jones  and wife, Jennifer of Newton; one daughter, Teresa Seagle and husband, Rodney of Vale; one granddaughter, Allison Brewer and husband, Nicholas of Vale and her fur babies, Sam and Emma.
