Dorothy Bivens Keever
( March 5, 1934 - June 20, 2016 )
June 20th, 2016 our fun loving Mother went home to be with the Lord and her family that had gone before her. Dorothy E. Keever was born March 5th, 1934 and lived in Lincolnton her whole life and was a retired textile worker.
She is survived by one sister Zinnie Talbert, four loving children Denise Dean, Sheila Butler and husband Jeff, Tammy Griffin, and Billy Keever and wife Lisa all of Lincolnton. She has 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great great- grandchild and along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her late husband William E. Keever, her parents Belzora and John L. Bivins and eleven siblings and one step-daughter.
She loved the Lord and said that His gift to her was laughter and used laughter to serve Him. She loved to make people happy in all situations which her church family of Roseland Baptist church and friends can attest too.
A celebration of her life will be at Roseland Baptist Church in Lincolnton, NC. A viewing will be from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm at the church, and her service will follow at 2:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at Saint Paul’s Baptist Church in Casar, NC overlooking the mountains she so loved.
In lieu for flowers donation can be made to Hospice House of Lincolnton, NC.
