Robert "Bob" Charles Buff

Robert “Bob” Charles Buff, age 80, of 120 Linwood Drive in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, July 6, 2016.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Stanley Spence officiating. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Bob was born July 26, 1935, in Gaston County, to the late Coy R. and Alda Little Buff. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Cecil, Don, and Ken Buff. Bob served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict; of which three years were spent in Germany. If you knew Bob, he would often share his time in Germany with you. Those years were filled with fond memories. After the military, Bob started as a clerk for the US Postal Service in Lincolnton. He was promoted to Postmaster where he served in Pine Bluff, NC and Iron Station, NC.
He is survived by his wife, Linda L. Buff of the home; a daughter, Penny Buff Ford, and husband David, of Lincolnton; a son, Alan Buff, and wife Sue Ellen, of Newton; four grandchildren, Adam Ford, Justin Ford, Wesley Ford, and Chelsea Ford; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 201 Robin Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
