Obituaries

Mr. Calvin Coolidge Rudisill, age 89, of 7510 Palm Tree Church Road in Vale, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016.

His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2016 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frieda Hobson and David Hobson officiating.  Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Rudisill was born June 23, 1927 in Catawba County to the late McCoy Aubrey and Edith Blanch Smith Rudisill.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, J.D. Rudisill, Dayton Rudisill and Hubert Lutz and one sister, Buelah Mae Willis.Mr. Rudisill was retired from the furniture industry, having worked at Southern Desk.

Survivors include his wife, Pearline Poole Rudisill of the home; one son, Joe Rudisill of Newton; two daughters, Diane Shillito and husband Bill of Newton, and Vickie Nance and husband Fred of Vale; one sister, Margaret Bingham of Waco; seven grandchildren, Nathan and Sheldon Rudisill, Celeste Caulder, Casey and Ty Shilitto, Nolan Nance, and Summer Hull; fourteen great grandchildren.
