Ruth Elizabeth Proctor Frye

Ruth Elizabeth Proctor Frye, age 83, of 2679 Union Church Road in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, September 25, 2016.
Her funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Andy Royals officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2016, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Ruth was born June 23, 1933, in Gaston County, to the late John and Gladys Beam Proctor. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Willard Frye, Sr. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by five sons, Harvey Willard Frye, Jr. of Black Mountain, Herbert William Frye of Catawba, Gregory Randolph Frye of Lincolnton, David Anthony Frye of Iron Station, and Bill Worley of Hickory; four daughters, Carol Delores Frye and Lisa Frye Sherbert, both of Lincolnton, Deborah Jean Frye Johnson of Maiden, and Rosemary Small of Hickory; four stepdaughters, Linda Murphy of Newton, Ann Gentry of Gastonia, Vickie McConnell of Sherrills Ford, and Sandy Medley of Rocky Mount; two brothers, Bill Proctor of Statesville and Ralph Proctor of Gastonia; one sister, Betty Clary of Bessemer City; thirteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
