Ruth Kiser Hoke
( July 26, 1912 - February 19, 2017 )
Ruth Kiser Hoke, age 104, of Highway 27, West, in Lincolnton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 19, 2017.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Rhyne Heights United Methodist Church with Rev. Avery White officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hoke was born July 26, 1912, in Gaston County, to the late Phillip Anderson Kiser and Lilly Elizabeth Rash Kiser. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, George Alexander Hoke, Sr.; a son, George A. Hoke, Jr. (Leck); sons-in-law, W.T. Finger and Howard L. Lawing; four brothers; and three sisters.
She is survived by her children, Doris H. Finger, Jo Ann H. Mason (Darrell), Faye H. Rucker (Jerry), Libby H. Ballard (Ben), Linda H. Lawing; daughter-in-law, Vickie Hoke; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Rhyne Heights United Methodist Church, 520 S. Madison Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
