Sherman Gene Dorsey

Mr. Sherman Gene Dorsey, age 80, of Upper Rinehardt Road in Dandridge, TN, died on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
Mr. Dorsey was born April 4, 1937, in Cocke County, Tennessee, to the late Theodore and Lura Barnes Dorsey. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Dorsey and Tommy Dorsey; and a sister, Dawn Garver. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and then later worked as a bus driver.
He is survived by three daughters, Daresa Suddreth, and fiancé Dennis Willis, of Vale, Lesa Perkins, and husband Allen, of Lincolnton, and Tamra Rozsa, and fiancé Mike Trujillano, of Boiling Springs, SC; one brother, J.W. Dorsey of Newport, TN; two sisters, Rebecca Cureton, and husband Gary, of Newport, TN and Ella McMahan of Greenville, NC; wife and mother of his children, Jean Dorsey; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Brown Funeral Home of Newport, Tennessee.
