Clyde Dean Byers

Mr. Clyde Dean Byers, age 83, of Byers Lane in Vale, died on Friday, July 21, 2017.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017, at Daniels Lutheran Church with Pastor David Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Monday in the fellowship hall at Daniels Lutheran Church. At all other times, the family will be at the home of Sam and Karen Byers, 2239 Seagletown Road in Vale.
Mr. Byers was born August 14, 1933, in Wilkes County, to the late Nathan Dean and Minnie Wakefield Byers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Susan Seagle Byers, one daughter, Frances B. Willis; two brothers, Tim Byers and Jess Byers; one sister, Elsie Whisnant. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Byers was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include two sons, Samuel D. Byers and Nathan D. Byers, both of Vale; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
