Obituaries

Maryann Oddy Burns, age 77, of Lincolnton died Saturday, July 29, 2017. 

A graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2017 at Hollybrook Cemetery with Rev. Gary Fulker  officiating . The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Burns was born on September 22, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Robert Peter Oddy and Helen Gertrude Gordon.  She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Burns and a brother, Robert Oddy.  Mrs. Burns was the proprietor of Burns Accounting.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Sposa and husband Curt, of  MD  and Laura Sculthorpe of  NC; three sons, James Burns of  NC, Donald Burns of NC and John Corby of NJ; one sister, Fran Barborak of CA; two brothers, Edward Oddy and wife Betty, of CA and Fred Walters and wife Evelyn, of  NJ; ten grandchildren, Bryan, Paige, Jason, Ian, Ethan, Jessica, James, Alexander, David and John; and six great-grandchildren.
