Phyllis Hoover Ritchie

Mrs. Phyllis Hoover Ritchie, age 81, of Iron Station, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, September 22, 2017.
A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in the Alexis Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Sandy Marks officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. at Alexis Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ritchie was born June 10, 1936, in Gaston County, to the late Loy and Fannie Long Hoover. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Glenn Ritchie, an infant daughter, Patty Ritchie; one sister, Mildred Smith and husband Joe; two brothers, Donald Hoover and Darrell Hoover and wife June. Mrs. Ritchie was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Glenda R. Mauney, and husband Paul, of Iron Station; one grandson, Christopher Mauney, and wife Hilary, of Holly Springs, NC; and two great-grandchildren, Linden Mauney and Lane Mauney; brother-in-laws, Neal Ritchie and wife Pat and Ray Ritchie and wife Robin all of Iron Station.
Memorials may be made to the South Fork Baptist Association, for the handicapped ramp fund, 2261 Laboratory Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
