Bobby Lewis Avery

Bobby Lewis Avery, age 77, of 3189 Dave Heafner Road in Crouse, died on Sunday, September 24, 2017.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Rick Sloop officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church. At all other times, the family will be at the home.
Mr. Avery was born January 12, 1940, in Lincoln County, to the late Lewis and Stella Davis Avery. He was the previous owner/operator of Piedmont Bait and Tackle. After retirement, he and Wanda began to farm.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Richard Avery, of the home; a son, Robert “Buck” Avery, and wife Sharon, of Crouse; a daughter, Cyndi Avery Brackett, and husband Ryan, of Crouse; two sisters, Sue Rogers, and husband Larry, of Denver and Diane Neal, and husband Bobby Dean, of Crouse; and one granddaughter, Megan Avery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, PO Box 131, Crouse, NC 28033, or to Testa Family Hospice House, 321 Kings Mountain Blvd., Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
