Claude Ray Cody, Sr.

Claude Ray Cody, Sr., age 80, of 833 S. Madison Street in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, October 11, 2017.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Wayne Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Bill and Sis Shull, 701 Huss Street in Lincolnton.
Mr. Cody was born January 25, 1937, in Cleveland County, to the late James and Mary Seagle Cody. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Claude Ray Cody, Jr. Claude was the owner/operator of Ray Cody Plumbing.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Johnson Cody of the home; two daughters, Karen Cody Clark, and husband Mark, of Lincolnton, and Kelly Cody Fox, and husband Max, of Sevierville, TN; two brothers, Ted Cody, and wife Kathy, and Charles Cody, and wife Becky, all of Vale; three sisters, Martha Fulbright, and husband Ronald, of Vale, Sis Shull, and husband Bill, of Lincolnton, and Tots Crowder, and husband Bill, of Lincolnton; three grandsons, Matthew Clark, and wife Ragan of Vale, Jordan Clark of Lincolnton, and Josh Neal, and wife Tammy, of Lincolnton; and four great-grandchildren, Gracie Mae Clark, Mason Holden, Marlee Ray Neal, and Jake Singletary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
