Betty Luarca Hicks Potts
( December 16, 1935 - October 12, 2017 )
Betty Luarca Hicks Potts, age 81, of the Brian Center in Lincolnton, and formerly of Lee Lawing Road, died on Thursday, October 12, 2017.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 13 ,2017, at Forest Lawn Cemetery officiating. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, 2017, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Stanley Spence officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
Mrs. Potts was born December 16, 1935, in Cleveland County, to the late Arthur Gaines Hicks and Clarice Howell Hicks. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, T.E. Potts. She was an elementary school educator.
She is survived by a brother, William N. Hicks, and wife Rebecca, of Lincolnton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Scholarship Fund, 201 Robin Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
