Carl Franklin Hedgepeth

Carl Franklin Hedgepeth, age 82, of 3052 Ramseur Street in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, October 15, 2017.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Andy Royals officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Hedgepeth was born September 7, 1935, in Gaston County, to the late Frank and Margaret Hedgepeth. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Burton Hedgepeth, and his step-mother Frances McGinnis Hedgepeth. He served in the National Guard and then later worked for Bosch Tool.
He is survived by two sons, Donald Carl Hedgepeth of Lincolnton and Richard Allen Hedgepeth of Maiden; a daughter, Lori Ann Johnson of Lincolnton; a sister, Shirley Sigmon of Lincolnton; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to Salem Baptist Church Building Fund, 1982 Salem Church Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
