Obituaries

William Jason Holbrook, age 76, of 255 Car Farm Road, Lincolnton died Friday, October 20, 2017.

His funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at St. Matthew’s Reformed Church with Rev. John Barnett officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:15 p.m. until 3:15 p.m. Wednesday prior to the funeral at the church.

Mr. Holbrook was born on May 20, 1941 and was the son of the late William Lonzo and Lucy Edna Boyles Holbrook.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lucy Parker.  Mr. Holbrook retired as a brickmason.

He is survived by his wife, Doris C. Holbrook of the home; one son, Marty Holbrook and wife, Kris of Hickory; one daughter, Robin Straight and husband, Tony of Lincolnton; three sisters, Faye Brown of Charlotte, Eleanor Nicholson of Lincolnton and Lorene Potter of Newton; four grandchildren, Victoria Webber, Zackary Straight, Jake Holbrook and Maggie Holbrook.
