Eugenia "Gennie" Reese Herron

Eugenia “Gennie” Reese Herron, age 53, of Iron Station, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 23, 2017.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at East Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Drum and Rev. Doug McClain officiating. The body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the East Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Warlick Funeral Home
Gennie was born September 14, 1964, in Lincoln County, to the late Edward Gibbons Reese, Sr. and Doris Faye Bridges Reese. She worked for Water Ink Technologies, and in her spare time, loved doing arts and crafts.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Herron of the home; a son, Michael James Moretz, II, and wife Brandy, of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Katherine, Jase, and Robert Moretz; brothers, Ed Reese II, and wife Judy, of Maiden, and James Len Reese, and wife Patricia of Lincolnton; a sister, Mitzi Robinson, and husband Tim, of Denver; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church, 4769 Highway 73, Iron Station, NC 28080.
