Obituaries

Elaine Byers Houser Hartman, age 96, formerly of Paul Elmore Road, Lincolnton died Saturday, November 4, 2017.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be at  Forest Lawn Cemetery at a later date.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hartman was born on September 15, 1921 and was the daughter of the late  Julius Tate and Idella Leonard Byers. She was also preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, Windel Byers, Loyce Dellinger, Alton Byers, Janet Schronce, Carolyn Gilbert and Conette Heavner.  Mrs. Hartman was a nurse.

She is survived by two sisters, Phyllis Hovis of Chaphin, SC and Barbara Drumm of Mt. Holly; two step-sons, Dan Houser of Lincolnton and Bill Houser of Crouse and a number of nieces and nephews.
