Obituaries

William Billy Haynes, age 85, of 1052 Guy Heavner Road, Lincolnton died Sunday, November 12, 2017.

His funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Reepsville Baptist Church. His body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Haynes was born on November 9, 1932 and was the son of the late Russell and Ella Scronce Haynes. He was also preceded in death by his wife Naomi Ingle Haynes. Mr. Haynes was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from the furniture industry.

He is survived by one son, Paul Haynes of Lincolnton; one daughter, Judy Brandt and husband, Lynn of Cherryville; two brothers, Ray Haynes of Lincolnton and Ed Haynes of Lincolnton; four sisters, Betty Graig of GA, Kay Hughes of Vale, Kathleen Hedgepeth of Lincolnton and Junie Ledford of Lincolnton; two grandsons, Wayne Brooks, Nick Brooks and wife, Jessie and one great grandson, Kayden Brooks.
