Garrett Wade Abernathy, age 22, of 1 Chapman Street in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, November 11, 2017.
His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Crouse Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Garrett was born November 13, 1994, in Lincoln County, to Bobby Abernathy and Tiffany Connor Lasiter. He worked in landscaping.
He is survived by his father, Bobby Abernathy of Vale; his mother, Tiffany Lasiter of Lincolnton; two brothers, Jade Gutierrez and Christian Burleson of Lincolnton; two sisters, Ashley Abernathy of Lincolnton and Kelsey Abernathy of Vale; grandmother, Gail McGlothlin of Maiden; a nephew, Saul Gutierrez of Lincolnton; and two nieces, Trinity Abernathy and Alexis Gutierrez, both of Lincolnton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crouse Baptist Church, PO Box 190, Crouse NC 28033.
