Obituaries

Evelyn Lineberger Medford, age 93, of Holly Oak Lane in Gastonia, died on Thursday, November 16, 2017.

Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2017, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fain Farmer officiating.  Burial will follow in the Salem Baptist Church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Medford was born October 2, 1924, in Gaston County, to the late Robert and Margaret Hester Lineberger.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters. 

She is survived by a daughter, Melody Medford Morris, and husband David Norman Morris, II, of Gastonia; three grandsons, Sean Morris, and wife Hope, of Waxhaw, Chad Morris, and wife Tonya, of Atlanta, GA, and Alex Morris, and husband Casey, of Belmont; four great-grandchildren, Sean Morris, Jr., Alyson Morris, Gracie Morris, and Sydney Morris; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
