Obituaries

David Wasson Choplin of Denver went to be with his Lord on Thursday, November 23, 2017. 

A Celebration of  Life service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Grace Covenant Church, 17301 Statesville Road, Cornelius, NC 28031.

David was born on April 24, 1940 to Valletta Louise and David Lester Choplin in Clinton, Missouri.  He grew up in the Kansas City, Kansas community and graduated from Kansas State University where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi.  He spent the majority of his career in Toledo, Ohio where he was employed by Owens Corning for 33 years and where he met his beloved wife Bonnie.  After retirement they moved to Denver, NC.  They have called Denver home for the last 18 years.  David was an active member of Grace Covenant Church and was a past member of the Denver - Lake Norman Rotary Club.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Bonnie Choplin of Denver; one son, Brian Neal (Paula) of Toledo, OH; two grandchildren, Travis and Conner of Toledo, OH; two sisters, Sara  Brady (Allen) of Holland, MI and Jane Roes (Allen) of Huntersville, NC; several nieces and nephews, and his precious cat Mollie.
