Obituaries

Mr. John Donnie Teague, age 75, of Lincolnton went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 2, 2017.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Wheeler officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Teague was born January 10, 1942 in Anderson County, SC to the late Harold Lee and Lydia Frances Saxon Teague.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Jean Teague.  He was retired from Duke Energy after 29 years of service.  Mr. Teague was a Mason and Shriner and a member of Redeemed Baptist Church.  He was a loving husband and dedicated father and grandfather.  

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Phillips Teague of the home; one son, Phil Teague and wife Angie of Lincolnton; two daughters, Donna Garver and husband Scott of Catawba County, Peggy Teague of Sherrills Ford; two grandchildren, Trent and Nic Teague.
