Jeanne S. Lockman of Lincolnton, N.C. entered into her heavenly home on December 22, 2017.
She was born on December 20, 1923 to Chauncey D. Stroup, Sr. and Vera Seagle Stroup. She lived a rich, full 94 years in Lincolnton as wife of Jack A. Lockman, who preceded her in death; as mother of John T. Lockman of Denver and Jane L. Schrum of High Point; as mother-in-law to Becky Lockman and Pic Schrum; as grandmother to Lydia McIntosh of Denver, NC; Daniel Lockman of Lincolnton, Hannah Schrum of Charlotte, Luther Schrum of Salt Lake City, Sarah Cronin of Swannanoa, NC and Phillip Christopher Schrum who preceded her in death; as great-grandmother to Kale, Owen and Andy McIntosh; Aiden and Weston Lockman; Philip, Zoe and Kara Schrum and Ella Cronin; and as sister to her only remaining brother, Charles Cecil “Brat” Stroup and to siblings Elizabeth S.Yelton, Dorothy S. Kiser, Chauncey Depew Stroup, Jr., Virginia S. Ellington, Daniel Laban Stroup, William Brady Stroup, Joseph Paul Stroup, who preceded her in death along with her step-mother, Sarah Lindsey Stroup.
A 3:00 p.m. Celebration of Life service will be led by Pastor Mike Devine on Tuesday, December 26 at Covenant Bible Church, 2168 Gastonia Highway, Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:45 at the church prior to the service. There will be a private graveside service for the family.
