Obituaries

Mr. Robert Franklin Ross, age 90, of Lincolnton died Monday, December 25, 2017.

His funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Brittain officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home Thursday.

Mr. Ross was born on September 12, 1927 and was the son of the late Benjamin and Pearl Heafner Ross.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Scism Ross, four sisters, Mildred King, Liz Ross and Frances Ballenger, Nell Rhodes and five brothers, Henry Ross, Fred Ross, Grady Ross, John Ross, Benjamin Ross and a step-grandchild, Robbie Mosteller.  Mr. Ross was retired from the furniture industry as a supervisor and was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by one daughter, Kathy Ross Webb and husband, Mackie of Lincolnton; one step-daughter, Joyce Williams and husband, Rodney of Morganton; one step-son, Fred Mullinax and wife, Kathy of Lincolnton; one granddaughter, Cindy Wilson and husband, Bryan of Vale; one great granddaughter, Mallie Wilson; one brother, Floyd Ross of Lincolnton and seven step-grandchildren.
