Obituaries

Mr. Flay “Chad” Clifton Scronce , Jr., age 50, of 3498 Wyant  Road, Vale died Saturday, December 30, 2017.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Crowell Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Freida Hobson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Scronce was born August 23, 1967 and was the son of the late Flay “Tip” Clifton Scronce, Sr.  He worked for Carolina Freight.

Mr. Scronce is survived by his mother, Jean S. Scronce of Vale; one son, Harley Scronce of Cherryville; three daughters, Mandi Scronce of Vale, Destiny Rudisill and husband, Josh of Cherryville and Peyton Scronce of Hickory; one brother, Michael Scronce and wife, Crissy of Vale; one sister, Amy Scronce and ( Jimmy) of Vale; one granddaughter, Ellie Rudisill.
