Rebecca "Reba" Ann Johnson Goodson

Rebecca “Reba” Ann Johnson Goodson, age 83, of Riverview Road in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, January 3, 2018.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018, at Boger City United Methodist Church with Lavell Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Ms. Goodson was born October 4, 1934, in Lincoln County, to the late Leroy and Maude Beatty Johnson. She worked for Gamble Hospital and retired from Lincoln County Hospital where she worked as a nurse aide.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Goodson, and wife Robin, of Lincolnton, and Stanley Goodson, and wife Linda, of Sherrills Ford; two brothers, Ronald Johnson, and wife Donna, of Hickory, and Michael Johnson of Lincolnton; two sisters, Rachel Ballenger of Cherryville and Sue Cardarelli, and husband John, of Myrtle Beach, SC; four grandchildren, Brad Goodson, Clint Goodson, and fiancé Jenna Gaillard, Matthew Goodson, and wife Kimberly, and Daniel Goodson, and fiancé Abby Samelak; one great-grandson, Jacob Goodson; and one aunt, Wilhelmina Ledford of Lincolnton.
Reba will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boger City United Methodist Church, 2320 E. Main Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
