Berlin Stanley Ritchie

Berlin Stanley Ritchie, age 78, of Teague Street in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, January 9, 2018.
His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at New Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Ritchie was born August 6, 1939, in Pendleton County, West Virginia, to the late William Scott and Bessie Mae Wilfong Ritchie. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew; as well as numerous brothers and sisters. He worked as a security guard for Wix of Gastonia.
He is survived by a son, Scottie Ritchie of Virginia; four daughters, Katie Ritchie, Kim Ritchie, and Amy Ritchie, all of Virginia and Tracy Ritchie of Lincolnton; a brother, Harland Ritchie of Virginia; three sisters, Wanda Simmers, AnnaLee Burkholder, all of Virginia, and Leonia Hottinger of West Virginia; nineteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, whom he loved dearly.
