Steve Alan Gilbert

Steve Alan Gilbert, age 61, of Horseshoe Lake Road in Lincolnton, died on Friday, February 2, 2018.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018, at Highland Drive Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Orgeron officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Steve was born April 18, 1956, in Lincoln County, to the late Harold Dean Gilbert and his mother, Jennie Helms Jones. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Marty Gilbert. He was retired from trucking.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Hernon Gilbert of the home; a son, Joshua Carl Gilbert of Lincolnton; a sister, Cindy Gilbert of Iron Station; his step-father, Edward Jones of Lincolnton; two nieces; and one nephew.
